Biography
Rima obtained her Master’s in physical therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology/Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin. She’s a physical therapist with over 22 years of experience in adult and pediatric populations; specifically in home health, skilled nursing homes, inpatient acute hospital settings, and outpatient orthopedics. She has speaking experience on topics of bladder health and incontinence and taught back care and exercise classes for health plan members. As of 2022, Rima is a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) with the National Association of Home Builders.  She works full-time for Periscope as a Regional Clinical Director and Lead Reviewer who oversees, mentors, and trains physical and occupational therapy consultants. Rima also continues to provide in-home health plan member assessments for durable medical equipment, home modifications, home safety, and other medical needs. She’s passionate about learning, problem-solving, and helping people stay safe and have their functional mobility needs met.
